Digital Enhancement for Ente Ospedaliero Cantonale
A new Digital Experience serving health
Ente Ospedaliero Cantonale (EOC), which is responsible for the management of public hospitals in Ticino, plays a fundamental role in the health of citizens and is a point of reference for the territory. It is therefore essential that EOC maintain a state-of-the-art online presence, ensuring a website that increasingly puts patients (and their families) and physicians at the center, offering easy access to the facilities and services best suited to their needs.
With the aim of improving the presentation of the multi-hospital healthcare offering and optimizing the public's use of information throughout the customer journey, EOC has embarked on an ambitious user-centered digital renewal project, which has involved both the graphic and functional redesign of the site.
The user at the center: a close, simple and useful site
The first step in this project was the redesign of the User Experience (UX) and User Interface (UI) of the website. In addition, ad hoc applications, integrated with EOC's databases, were implemented to centrally manage content and information related to a complex and sensitive system (such as contacts, locations, performance and physician information). The result is a more usable site, both in terms of interface and organization of information, despite the complexity of the institution and the issues addressed.
The new architecture and content design now allow a more effective presentation of the health care offerings of Ente Ospedaliero Cantonale of Ticino: not only updated, clear and well-organized content, but also a powerful search engine that simplifies access to information on professionals, specialties and treatments. This clarity and usefulness of content strengthen dialogue and relations with citizens through digital channels, creating a closer link between the institution and the community.
A platform for the community
Looking to the future, the revamped site stands as a platform ready to evolve. It is expected to provide increasingly interactive services for patients and physicians in the area, such as managing the booking of visits or examinations, checking reports, accessing discharge letters, and taking advantage of telemedicine services, strengthening the link between EOC and the community. The goal is to turn the site not only into a source of information, but into an active ally in health care, providing users with practical tools to manage their health.
The result of the EOC's digital renewal is a platform site that not only meets the immediate needs of users but also provides a solid foundation for continued innovation in digital health services.
